Wait, What Happened to Diego Tattoo Gallery?

Diego Tattoo Gallery has officially changed its name to Wolf and Shadow Tattoo Collective. Read our official Press Release.

Can I walk in and get a tattoo?

We do typically only work by appointment. If you are interested in a same-day tattoo, please call ahead to check our artists’ availability. Each artist’s availability is different. Call Wolf and Shadow Tattoo Collective [fka Diego Tattoo Gallery] at 619-246-5226

If I want to book an appointment, how far out will it be booked?

Each artist’s availability is different. Wait times could be days – or months. Also, larger pieces require more design time, so you may incur a longer waiting time based on size and detail.

Can I bring children into the shop?

We all love the little ones, but a tattoo shop is not a place for children. If you need to bring them in during the consultation, that is okay, but you will need to make other arrangements for your appointment. We value your time and ours and need to stay focused to create perfection.

How much do consultations cost?

Consultations are free, but there is a deposit required to book an appointment. Deposits could range from $50-200 depending on the size of the tattoo. If you are traveling from out of town we accept PayPal, Venmo, Messenger, or a credit card by phone.

  • Deposits are non-refundable, so make sure you are 100% committed to the artist and date.
  • Deposits are also non-transferable.
  • 48 hours notice is required to reschedule.

How much is it going to cost?

Our artists range from $150-180/hr. When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are plenty of people tattooing out there that will ink you cheap, and you’ll be crying to a real artist to have it covered up. Look for quality, and be willing to pay for it. NEVER haggle over the price of a tattoo. It is disrespectful to the artist. If you have a budget, let the artist know and they will do their best to create a design within that budget.

Should I tip my artist?

Tips are appreciated, but not required. Also, tips don’t have to be monetary.

Will I get to see my drawing before my appointment?

Your artist will have your image available on the day of your appointment. If there is a need for you to see it in advance, the artist will schedule a time for you to see it in person. Images will not be emailed or texted to clients prior to the appointment. We do schedule time for edits on the day of your tattoo.

Can I control every little detail of my artwork?

Tattooing is a human endeavor. The artists are not computers and therefore cannot be programmed as such. There should be trust and creative liberty given to your artist. Check out their portfolio and be sure that you like their style and interpretation. Micromanaging will not be tolerated. That being said, it is perfectly acceptable to make changes and edits within reason.

I want a tattoo RIGHT NOW or I’ll NEVER do it!

If this is you, it may be better to not get tattooed at all. Tattoos will be with you forever, so it is worth the time it takes to design a quality piece and the wait for the artist of your choosing. Tattoos are not instant gratification, but long-term commitments.

Why are tattoos so expensive?

In brief, Quality over Quantity. Please read more here because we care that you understand our passion for our work.
